LSC: Last Tuesday we experienced a taste of what is to come weather wise the temperatures rising to almost 30 degrees. Play was reduced to 16 ends. Winning players were Val Bloem, Joan Dale, Jenny Pike and Lorraine McKellar.

Our club was saddened to learn of Betty Bandy’s death (a member of L&D Club) and to her family we extend our deepest sympathy.
Tomorrow is our President’s Day and we hope all players participating have an enjoyable day.
L&D: Last Thursday, eight of our players competed in the first round of the Minor Singles. Jeanie Leighton defeated Wilma Alexander, Joan Bourke defeated Jan Carroll, Marika Pete defeated Gill Beer and Lorraine Messner unfortunately won on a forfeit.
Tomorrow is our President’s Day.
The second round this Thursday will see Jeanie against Marika and Joan against Lorraine, competing for a spot in the finals.
The drawn winners were Elaine Sullivan and Enid Tuckett, Enid also won the lucky door, and there were no resting touchers.
A number of our players will visit the LSC tomorrow to play on their President’s Day.
