YANCO SOCIAL
YANCO social golfers held their October monthly medal on the weekend, with the honours going to Cruze Dale. There were a great line up of players on Sunday with some new faces turning out. It was great to see the interest from some of the twilight players as well.
Those in the twilight competition are able to play with Yanco on a Sunday to boost their numbers but also have their score recorded for the twilight rounds.
It would be great to see even more former golfers return with their old dusty sticks again.
Dean McVittie was the A grade winner, with Cruze also the B grade beneficiary.
Nearest the pins went to Graeme Dale on the 4th, Frank Gordon the 6th and 13th and 15th A Skinner.
In the drive and chip competition, A grade and opens went begging to A Skinner, Gordon picked up B grade and Cruze got the honours in C grade. Cruze's top day continued taking out the longest drive.
McVittie won the putting competition and the ball comp winners were R Marks and D Ross.
This weekend will be an alternate 12 event. Tee-off is on Sunday at 7.30am.
