Yanco Public School students ended term three recently in an active and healthy way.
In this spirit, health worker Michelle Del Guzzo visited the school to discuss the Live Life Well program, which is a collaborative initiative between NSW Ministry of Health and the school sectors in NSW.
It aims to engage students in a more active lifestyle and healthy eating habits.
At the end of September, the school also hosted its reward days.
“(This) was a combination of fun, health and fitness with tabloid activities planned and run by year 10 Yanco Agricultural students who were assessed on the presentation of their activities to our students,” Yanco Public principal Tarnya Grigg said.
“Matt and Manuela Gatt also taught our students how to prepare sushi. The students really loved the experience and most of them tried their sushi or took some home for the family.”
