Almost 1400 people came through on Saturday, with organiser Hannah Fitzsimon saying it was most likely the biggest event they’ve seen yet.
Trying out a new location this time around, the event was changed from a day event in Mountford Park to that of a twilight festive atmosphere, based in the town oval’s car park.
“The other places were in the park with multiple entries, making it hard to keep a head-count, however we had always estimated around 800 people coming through,” Ms Fitzsimon said.
To add to that, everything went without a hitch, meaning next year’s event is set to be penciled in. With rain drizzling in the morning during the set up, it was looking like it would be a wet night, however it was dry skies all the way from 4pm onwards.
“Overall it went really well. The feedback we’ve received has been really positive. People seemed a little unsure in the lead up to the new location, however it worked very well,” Ms Fitzsimon said.
“Even though the whole venue was licensed, we had a lot of families come and enjoy what there was to offer – parents would go and drink while the kids had a great time on the jumping castle. There was something for everyone.”
Ms Fitzsimon is busily putting together a community feedback survey to get a real gauge as to what people enjoyed most.
“I’ll have a chat to people around here, those who went as well as the stall holders, to hopefully be able to pencil it in for next year. I’d like to thank the community for coming along and supporting the event, and hopefully we can bring it again for everyone next year.”

Around 20 stallholders delighted crowds with a wide variety of food and drinks, with the Leeton Multicultural Group cooking up a storm.
Everything from espresso martinis, Yenda Beer, wine from Leeton’s two wineries and coffee to the Cold Rock ice cream van, pasta, American barbecue, paella, Italian sausage Japanese noodles and charcoal meat skewers filled the patron’s bellies.
