Officers received reports of a truck driving dangerously on Irrigation Way on Sunday.
They found the 47-year-old man at around 5pm, driving the prime mover with two trailers packed with rice heading towards Leeton.
When they stopped him he admitted to drinking alcohol, and the resulting breath test confirmed his confession.
He was taken to Leeton Police Station where he allegedly returned a mid-range reading of 0.141.
The man had his licence suspended and is due to face Leeton Local Court on November 16.
In other catches, police charged two women and three men in Griffith with driving offences across the weekend’s operation.
A 22-year-old woman was caught driving without a licence, for the second time, at around 5.50pm on Saturday at Garton Place. She told police she had never held a driving licence, and will face court on December 12.
The other woman was caught drink driving on her learner’s licence on Heath Crescent on Sunday. Police allege the 18-year-old was found unaccompanied, with her breath test results returned a mid-range reading. Her licence was also suspended, and she is set to face court.
A 40-year-old man was also stopped on Heath Crescent without a licence. Police say actions will be taken, as he had previously had his licence disqualified.
