There have been some encouraging signs in the fight to save the Murrumbidgee College of Agriculture at Yanco. On Tuesday, Leeton Shire Mayor Joe Burns and general manager Ray Pluis joined the chairman of the Murrumbidgee College advisory council Jim Geltch and council member Beryl Ingold, in meeting with the Country Labor caucus in Sydney. On the same day, both Member for Murrumbidgee Adrian Piccoli and Member for Murray-Darling Peter Black spoke out against the closure in Parliament.
