Mr Tabain has long enjoyed motivating people to live a healthier lifestyle through his 30-day challenge and now he has set his mind to helping the country’s younger generation.
Harbour Publishing house has recently released the first of a new children’s book series that tackles tough topics such as bullying.
POWman: Unleash the Hero Within is written by Mr Tabain and Nadia Worland, illustrated by Shane Ogilvie.

Known to many as “Dave ‘Pow’ Tabain”, he has used his experiences with bullying to help shine a light on the issue, but to also inspire young people.
The book follows the story of Dave, who hates seeing his friend Stu being bullied at school, but doesn’t know how to help.
He spends a lesson creating his POW plan and puts it into action that afternoon.
Dave and his friends are so excited when it works, that they want to share their plan with other kids.
“It’s been such a ride … I’ve always wanted to do something like this and I’ve had the idea for a while,” Mr Tabain said.
“I think the message in the book is really important.
“At the moment it’s one of the top books around the country. It’s so crazy.”
Mr Tabain will soon be visiting schools in Leeton and the Riverina to talk about his book with students.
“The book is based on a true story, so that’s why I think kids are really relating to it … there’s also resources included for schools, so it’s really great,” he said.
