The Stags won the toss and elected to bat and with Matt Dedini and Jason Burke opening the innings, they looked to set the tone for the afternoon.
Rhys Wilesmith made the early impact his side needed as he picked up the crucial wicket of Dedini (5). Angus Boulton joined Burke at the crease, and the pair pushed on despite the loss of the early wicket.
The pair put on 20 runs for the second wicket before Wilesmith took his second wicket for the day as he had Burke (21) caught by Adrian Axtill.
The Stags were able to get consistent 20-run partnerships as Angus Boulton (12), and Nathan Lanham (11) got starts before Bryce Rogers (2/20) took two quick wickets.
Jordan Camm (20) and Mark Doyle (25*) were able to contribute to their side getting a competitive total on the board before they were bowled out for 130 after 38 overs.
The Ferrets reply got off to a tough start as Danyon Evans (1/12) picked up the crucial wicket of Daniel Muir (0) with the first ball of the innings.
The situation got worse for the Ferrets as Rhett MacGregor (6) fell three overs later to the bowling of Matt Dedini (1/8) to have the L&D side sitting at 2/8 after 3.1 overs.
Needing to rebuild it fell to Adrian and Mat Axtill however it was going to be a tough task. The pair were able to get their side to 24 before wickets started to fall in quick succession.
When Adrian Axtill (8) fell to the bowling of Boulton, it saw a collapse which put the Stags into a match-winning position.
The L&D side lost 5/16 as Camm (3/17), and Boulton (2/12) did the damage as the Ferrets found themselves sitting on 7/40 after 16.2.
Rogers (23*) tried to give his side a chance, however finding a partner proved to be the problem for the Ferrets with Josh Lanham (1/14) and Kyle Pete (2/14) to see L&D bowled out for 78 to give the Stags a 52-run victory.
The Stags will take on LSC Colts next weekend while the Ferrets will travel to Narrandera to take on the Carpheads.
