November was very busy for me in the gallery. I had the last of my weekly classes and the Artisann Student exhibition. This was a fantastic night with many locals attending the event to support the local emerging artists.
There were works sold on the night and some very proud artists who sold their first artwork. It’s always rewarding to watch a student exhibit and sell an artwork.
I will be running a few workshops next year but no weekly classes.
I was involved in the B4B fundraising event held in Griffith which was a very enjoyable night where portraits and works of art were auctioned for breast and brain cancer. Thousands of dollars were raised for this worthy cause.
Leeton was recently featured in the Central West Lifestyle Magazine with 100 pages promoting our area. I was lucky enough to be included with two pages of my story. The repercussions from this have been amazing, with many visitors to my website and gallery, which has amounted to enquiries and sales.
I have an exhibition at the Wagga Art Gallery from January 14 to 29 which will be called Through My Eyes-Australian Landscape with many works featuring the local area. I would love to see some local faces in to visit. I will also hold an exhibition in Mollymook in April 2019.
Merry Christmas and thank you to the many people who have supported me this year by either visiting the gallery, attending a class or purchasing an artwork.
