After both sides faced out their allotted overs, the teams couldn’t be separated as they both finished on 5/108 to see the match finish in a tie.
The Narrandera side made a slow start as Brent Lawrence (0) fell to the fourth ball of the innings from Rhys Wilesmith before Mick Foster, and Haydn Emerson looked to rebuild the innings.
Foster did the heavy lifting as the pair were able to put on 32 runs for the second wicket before Sam Alampi (1/16) struck to remove Emerson (7).
Kurt Jensen joined Foster to take the supporting role as the opener continued to maintain their forward momentum as the pair pushed their side towards the 100-mark.
The 64-run partnership between Jensen and Foster was finally ended when Ferrets captain Ben Elwin (2/15) struck to remove Jensen (15), and Cooper Irons (4) before Wilesmith (2/22) removed Foster (71) with the final ball of the innings to see the Carpheads finish their 20 overs on 5/108.
Mathew Axtill and Rhett MacGregor but on nine runs before Brodie Perram (1/18) struck to remove Axtill (4) in the second over of the innings.
Justin Kelly joined MacGregor to see the Ferrets starting to make inroads as over the next six overs the pairing put on 33 runs before Kelly (10) was the next to fall to the bowling of Mark Tilyard (1/15).
The Ferrets continued to push towards victory as Elwin and MacGregor got their side to 90 before Elwin (25) to see the L&D side requiring 19 runs off the final 28 deliveries.
Eight runs later, MacGregor (49) fell to Emerson (1/15) leaving the task of hitting the final 11 runs to Richard Smith and Maclean Crompton.
Heading into the final over, the Ferrets needed to score nine runs to take the victory and with three runs required off the final delivery Smith (9*) and Crompton were able to complete two runs before Crompton (4) was found short of his ground as they finished on 5/108 and thus the points were shared.
The season now goes on break until January 12.
