However, Narrandera shouldn’t be discounted as the numbers in recent years are on their side.
The Carpheads have won six of the last seven one-day titles and were coming into good form prior to the Christmas break.
While Yanco got the better of them last weekend, Narrandera won’t be having the underdog tag sitting with them this time around.
The Stags have been the form team of the competition in both the one-day and Twenty20 formats in the 2018-19 season.
Captain Grant Forrest was hopeful his side’s hard work would pay off come Sunday at Mark Taylor Oval.
“We’ve had a pretty good year so far,” he said.
“I’m fairly confident if everyone plays their part that will be able to come away with the win.
“We won’t be taking Narrandera lightly.
“They can beat any team in this competition.”
Forrest said Yanco would need to put in a complete performance if they were to hold the trophy aloft at the end of the match.
He said every game had its ebbs and flows for both sides and it would be the team that works through those rough patches that would come out on top.
“There’s definitely going to be points in the game where it’s difficult for us … there are always moments like that,” Forrest said.

“It’s how you dig yourself out and try to get back on top again.”
The one-day final is the first of three premierships up-for-grabs in the A grade competition.
The Twenty20 grand final will be held on February 3, while the two-day title will be held in March.
Narrandera captain Brent Lawrence said several experienced players would be welcomed into his team this weekend.
“I think what will be on our side will be that experience … we’ve had a lot of finals experience in recent years,” he said. “Yanco have been very good all year, but they are certainly beatable.
“The best thing for us in the last six weeks or so has been getting a consistent A grade team. Prior to that we were making up to five or six changes every week. Now I think that consistency has been showing. We’re really looking forward to the final. It should be a good contest.”
