Mr Webber started as the theatre’s new co-ordinator this week and it’s been a learning curve already.
With the theatre set to undergo it’s biggest ever transformation, to the tune of just under $4 million, Mr Webber’s appointment has never been more crucial.
He said he hoped to work with the community on how they want to utilize the theatre and said the refurbishment project would only increase the building’s potential.
“I’m loving it so far … it’s going well,” Mr Webber said.
“I think it’s a great space. It has a lot of authenticity and charm to it.
“I’m hoping to preserve that as we move forward.
“I want to bring the theatre forward technically as well and bring a lot of the gear up to spec.
“Hopefully we can start attract some bigger acts and touring shows, that sort of thing.”
Mr Webber holds a Bachelor of Music with Honours majoring in audio production, music industry and music performance.

He has worked in recording studios as both an engineer and musician and, most recently, on a production of Les Misérables.
Also drawing him to Leeton was his partner, who is a teacher at Yanco Agricultural High School.
“I’m hoping to work with the community a lot, find out what they want and get them involved,” Mr Webber said.
“It’s an open door, so come in for a chat and say hello. I’m excited to meet everyone.”
