Police conducted patrols throughout the area over the Australia Day long weekend and most kept on the good side of the law.
However, one Griffith man will need to attend Leeton Local Court after being stopped for a random breath test on Brady Way returning a positive reading of .083.
Another woman was also found to be allegedly drink driving on Australia Day when she was pulled over by police around 7.25pm on Wamoon Avenue, returning a low-range reading.
Thieves rummage through property
A NUMBER of items have been stolen from a Corbie Hill property on Stringer Road, including a chainsaw, compressor and edge trimmers.
The thieves gained access to the property and promptly helped themselves to the items, with police now searching for those responsible.
Blaze destroys vehicle at river
AN UNREGISTERED vehicle at ski beach caught alight late on January 27.
The first was put out by Rural Fire Service member Pat O’Callaghan with other fire services also called on to assist.
The vehicle belonged to a man from Orange and was unregistered at the time of the fire.
Police said the cause of the fire is unknown.
