The Leeton Community Op Shop is all about social inclusion. The shop has many layers - a place for all to come in and find a bargain, but when you dig a little deeper you can see it is so much more - it’s the relationships between the volunteers, shoppers, workers, clients and board members.
Life been shared with much laughter, tears and joy, with heaps of support. Volunteering makes for a healthy caring community and Leeton is a town that is known for its volunteering nature.
We run programs within the op shop like the Leeton Cannery Tea House free breakfast club, upcoming soup kitchen, community windows promoting our community events, artists and groups. Christmas financial support for families via our schools, Work for the Dole (WFD), Pay it forward program, Work and Development orders (WFD), where you can pay fines off by volunteering. Our man cave - sharing life with someone while making rags, Sporting at the Op Shop with local high school students, school holiday activities, brokerage and welfare support for locals.
Please put June 1 on the calendar its our third Op Shop Debutante Ball, we have some exciting news coming up soon about the ball !!!! its our major fundraiser for the year.
We would like to thank the whole community of Leeton – without your donations, we could not run programs and provide the support for our locals and visitors, THANK YOU.
