Yanco Public School was broken into sometime between 5pm on Wednesday and 5am on Thursday morning.
The number of thieves is unknown, but they did rummage through several areas of the school.

At this stage, the school is still trying to determine what, if anything, was stolen.
Residents have been urged to report anyone they may notice on school grounds outside of school hours to police.
It is illegal to be on school property without a reason after hours.
Bright vehicle goes missing
LEETON police are looking into the theft of a vehicle from the centre of town this week.
The 2002 yellow Mitsubishi Magna was allegedly stolen sometime between 10.30pm on Tuesday and 11pm on Wednesday.
The vehicle had been parked in the Sycamore Street carpark.
