Abby Favell was put to the test over the course of a gruelling three-month training program, but she emerged triumphant and was chosen for a spot on the team.
Abby attributes her success to her parents, who have always been by her side cheering her on.
“They drive me everywhere and they’ve dedicated a lot of their time and money,” she said.
”I would also like to thank John and Kylie Pastro for sponsoring me.”
Abby wasn’t given much time to celebrate her win; she already is back on the field and facing down some more tough training.

She will be focusing on improving her exceptional running speed, which has given her the upper hand as she darts around the field.
Bushrangers coach Tim Madden congratulated the new players for overcoming the tough selection process.
“It was a very difficult selection process with the high standard of players,” he said.
The selection process included AFLW testing components and intra club games throughout the pre-season program alongside 80 female players from the across Murray region.
The Murray Bushrangers are preparing for their round one match against Northern Knights at RAMS Arena, Craigieburn on March 2.
