If not, it is a name that will soon become well known as the Leeton Business Chamber makes a move to bring back a special event to town.
The chamber is in the process of starting to organise this year’s Leeton Business Awards, which will be going ahead for the first time since 2016.
To change things up a little, the awards will be known as “The Walters”.
The name Walter is significant to Leeton’s history, with the town designed and shaped by noted architect Walter Burley Griffin, who was also responsible for doing the same at the nation’s capital of Canberra.
Leeton Business Chamber president Wayne Bond said the organisation was moving “full steam ahead” with the awards following the two-year absence of the event.

“Sponsorship is now being sought for a variety of categories and award nominations will open later in February,” he said.
“We want to keep the awards process simple and practical, but also make it a significant event for the Leeton business community.”
A big part of the process will also be using external and independent judges to assess the winners of each award category.
“We will have several award categories align again with the NSW Business Chamber state awards,” Mr Bond said.
Some won’t be linked to that process and others have been added to ensure a broad cross-section of the business community can be honoured for their hard work.
This will include a “top tradie” trophy, an outstanding woman/women in business accolade, as well as the traditional Irrigator Roll of Honour award.
Similar to the Logies – the “Gold Walter” will be awarded to the Leeton business of the year.
The awards themselves will also be a night to remember, with the chamber planning a gala dinner complete with a Great Gatsby theme on May 18 at the Leeton Soldiers Club.
Mr Bond said a professional entertainer and band have already been locked in for the night.
Companies wanting to get involved and sponsor an awards category should contact Jodie Ryan at admin@leetonchamber.com.au. Nominations for the awards will open on February 20.
