L&D: The Murrubidgee District Pennants season is up and running and L&D have four sides in the state competition, with mixed results last Sunday. Grade 3 went down to Griffith on the last end accordingly form all reports they were a bit unlucky. Grade 5 continued good form from last year and had a convincing win over Hillston.

Grades six and seven stuck some stiff competition with only one side having some success - John Perrin, skip, Pat McCarten, Neil Condon, and Joe Cowan.
The Barefoot Bowls Bash is continuing to be a huge success with 48 bowlers taking part on Tuesday night. It will continue for at least another three weeks.
LSC: The pennant season got away to a good start last Sunday. The grade five and grade six sides both went to Hay and recorded good wins. Grade seven played at home and were defeated by Narrandera in a tight match. This week grade five play at home against L&D and grade six are also at home to Narrandera. Grade seven play L&D at their home turf.
Indoor bowls numbers are starting to build up again after the hot spell. Winners in top division were Des Murrell and Ida Oliver, who were too good for Peter Clayton and Arthur Stavrow. In bottom division, Lina Papasidero and Sue Johnson defeated Sam Papasidero and Stan Wilson.
