FIRE AT OLD IRRIGATOR OFFICE
Luck was on the side of The Irrigator yesterday when the verandah of the old office caught fire, just days after into a new office. Firefighters said it could have been smouldering for up to five days before it became large enough to be seen.
CARNIVAL A BONANZA
Leeton’s four motels, three hotels, two caravan parks and one bed and breakfast were reportedly booked out both nights of the weekend as up to 1500 athletes and 5000 visitors descended on the town for the NSW region 5 athletics carnival.
