This year, $40,000 in prize money has been allocated by the committee, spread over the 13-event program.
One of the highlights will be the participation in the team roping of Cootamundra’s 87 years young Bob Holder, a Rodeo Hall of Fame inductee. Another will be the $1000 chute out bull ride, sponsored by rodeo stalwarts Roy and Bob Baul.
Also, Cherie O’Donoghue of Lockington, Victoria will be an exciting participant. You may have seen her win in the breakaway roping in Wagga recently. In Narrandera, she will compete in the team roping, barrel race and breakaway roping. Cherie “has the most all round cowgirl titles in Australian Professional Rodeo Association history”.
Proceeds go to Narrandera Can Assist to aid local cancer suffers.
