ST FRANCIS de Sales Regional College is an inclusive school, with modern facilities, allowing students to expand their learning experience to ensure they are prepared for today and the future.
While all schools must respond to the various challenges of a modern, technological, contemporary world, the college will always have an eye on the past.
We acknowledge the work of the Marist Brothers, inspired by St Marcellin Champagnat, who started the college in 1956.
On January 2, 1817, Marcellin encouraged two young men, Jean-Marie Granjon and Jean-Baptiste Audras, to join him in forming the nucleus of the Marist Brothers.
We also recognise the massive contribution of the Josephite sisters, inspired by St Mary Mackillop of the Cross and Fr Julian Tenison Woods.
We should never forget that we are a part of this rich history in providing quality care and education to the youth of the world.
We are pleased to make available to students a range of contemporary learning spaces and excellent ICT resources.
We enjoy a range of traditional classrooms, all connected by a wireless network that is accessible to all students and staff through the provision of laptop computers.
Other building resources are bright and open and provide a flexible learning environment for students and staff to work together.

Teachers are no longer the source of all knowledge, but are facilitators of learning.
Students need to work with the 21st century skills of collaboration, using information, finding solutions, creativity and global citizenship.
These learning spaces are designed to allow these skills to flourish for students and teachers. Of course, buildings aside, the key to good learning is quality teaching.
Teachers at St Francis always strive to deliver quality lessons which engage young people.
Modern learning facilities will always help engage students but as we so often hear from the students it is all about the teacher.
The teachers build positive relationships with students, using their knowledge and expertise, their care and compassion, high expectations about learning and regular feedback. This is what is valued at the College.
Boarding facilities are constantly being refurbished. Recent extensions to the facility ensure all boarders have access to quality study spaces within their dormitories, immaculate bathroom facilities as well as modern, comfortable recreation spaces.
The works meet modern building codes and improved disabled access including the installation of a lift. Today, the college is a Catholic co-educational day and weekly boarding school with approximately 700 students, including 225 weekly boarders.
