Leeton's Irrigation Way and McQuillan Road subject of inspection

MOTORISTS should expect to experience some changed traffic conditions at an intersection which has caused several headaches over the years.
Geotechnical work will be carried out from south of the Irrigation Way intersection to McQuillan Road, and Yanco Avenue to the intersection of Acacia Avenue.

Work will be carried out on Monday and Tuesday between 8.30am and 5pm, weather permitting.
During this time there will be traffic control and temporary lane closures at various locations in the two-kilometre project length with a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h.
The results from the investigation will be used to plan a road surface improvement project.

The McQuillan Road intersection over the years has been raised as a safety issue, but there have been many improvements made as a result.
Motorists are advised of minor delays and residential access will be briefly affected, with normal traffic resuming outside of work hours.
The RMS has thanked the community for its patience while the work is being carried out.
