Yanco Cricket Club's A grade side ready for final round of 2018-19 two-day comp
WITH just one two-day match remaining for their A grade side before the big dance, captain Grant Forrest is hoping to a good hit out against the L&D CC Ferrets.
After taking out the two-day minor premiership, the Stags have already locked in a spot in the grand final on March 23 and 24.
Over the course of the next two Saturdays they will face off with the L&D CC, a side which has struggled this season thanks to player availability.
Yanco will then enjoy a weekend off before the grand final where they will play either the Leeton Soldiers Club Colts or the Narrandera Carpheads who will face off in the semi-final on March 16 and 17.
However, Forrest said his side's attention was still firmly at the task at hand over the next two weekends.

"Hopefully we can have a good hit out with the L&D," he said.
"Obviously they have struggled a bit this year, but if they can put a full team together, they will definitely be tough.
"Hopefully that's what does happen. It would be good to have a tough game before the week off and then playing in the final."
The final round of the two-day competition will be Yanco's last home game of the 2018-19 season.
It's already been a fruitful one for the A grade side, picking up the one-day and Twenty20 premierships.
While the side has played some solid cricket throughout the year, Forrest said a bit of luck had come their way too. "Like last weekend, we probably could have been in for it against the Colts after they had a good effort with the bat the week before," he said.
"However, they only had eight in the field last weekend, which made it a bit easier for us to chase them down. There's definitely been games that could have gone either way. We definitely have dominated every match that's for sure."
