The tight concrete wall-lined track may already be the stuff of nightmares for drivers but a layout change has the potential to cause "chaos" at this weekend's Supercars season opener, according to Ford's Lee Holdsworth. Holden young gun James Golding became the Adelaide 500's first scalp in Thursday's opening practice when he slammed into a barrier controversially realigned on turn seven for the first round to avoid curb hopping. Golding came off second best with the repositioned tyre barrier, prompting one of three red flags that disrupted the first 30 minute practice session. Holdsworth held his nerve to finish second fastest behind Holden surprise packet Anton de Pasquale. But he warned there could be more carnage when the round begins in earnest with Friday's qualifying. "I see it as being a major drama over the weekend," he said of the revamped turn seven. "The problem with what we've got now, I think the idea was great, but I think what it will create is chaos. "Coming out of seven, if you hit that wall, it sucks you in and spits you back out or just stops you dead and someone following closely is going to run up your arse and create a concertina. "Certainly on the opening lap, everyone generally goes side-by-side through six and seven and that won't be possible now - it's going to create plenty of dramas." Holdsworth led a chorus of complaints about the new-look turn which prompted stewards to investigate on Thursday night. However, officials determined that the barrier did not require any movement. Ford's Fabian Coulthard - who finished third fastest at practice - was adamant it needed to be changed in the future. "I don't think we've seen a red flag for that corner before," he said.
