The Nationals Party member has spent many a solid hour in his vehicle travelling up and down the electorate and he says getting out and speaking to his constituents is one of the best parts of the job.
He admits in his short time he hasn't been able to achieve everything he has set out to do, but hopes residents throughout Murray will put their faith in him once again come election day on March 23.
"Obviously there's the red gum issues that still need sorting, as well as the Murray-Darling Basin Plan and everything that is associated with that when it comes to our irrigators and communities," Mr Evans said.
"You do have this idea when you first start out that you are going to be able to achieve everything very quickly, but unfortunately it just doesn't work like that."

The state politician role for Mr Evans has been a step up from his local government duties where he was once a councillor and mayor with Murrumbidgee Council before he stood for the Nationals in the October, 2017 byelection.
Mr Evans has no doubt the coming vote will be a close one.
"We've done a lot of work since I was elected … I don't think there's more I could have done in terms of effort or work," he said.
"I know what I am putting my hand up for now.
"Now I know how parliament works, I'm the right person for the job. I do know parliament is going to certainly look different after the election, but that's how it works.
"I think the National Party gives us (the Murray electorate) that voice we need. It's always a balance between being ideologically pure and actually getting things done.
"One compromises the other. You can be a purest and get nothing done. The National Party I think gives me a good balance."
For Leeton, Mr Evans says apart from water, the biggest issue he wants to help resolve if re-elected is the doctor shortage and the challenges at Leeton District Hospital.
