Matt Del Guzzo and Glen Vitnell (20 ret.) were able to get their side through the final 23 minutes of the first day to reach stumps on 1/59 after 25 overs with the Colts needed to reach 132 to take the first innings points.
Vitnell was unavailable for the second day and was substituted for Angus Crelley who headed out to the middle with Del Guzzo.
The pairing was able to get the Colts to 77 before Del Guzzo (15) was trapped in front by Jonathon Doyle while Crelley (12) departed 16 runs later with Doyle (2/41) taking his second.
Jarryd Day and Matt Rhodes came together to lift their side towards the first innings points with a 25-run stand to see the Colts reach 118 before Day was the next to depart when he was bowled by Jack Williamson (1/17).
Matt Curry (1) wasn't able to make an impact before he was run out by Williamson but Colts' captain Nathan Carn came together with Rhodes to see the Colts pass the mark of 132 to pick up the first innings points.
The partnership between Carn and Rhodes was ended on 21 when Carn (6) was bowled by Haydn Emerson while Rhodes was dismissed by Mark Tilyard (2/15) the very next delivery.
Rob Keech and Michael Keech were able to add 11 runs before Emerson (2/7) struck to remove Michael (6) leaving it to Josh Carn (4*) and Rob Keech (6*) to see out the final 30 minutes of the day with the Colts finishing on 8/169 after 70 overs.
While both teams were already locked into a finals position, the result means the Colts have locked in second spot so in the in the event of an abandoned match it would be the Soldiers Club side which would advance into the grand final.
The Carpheads and Colts will meet again this weekend in the semi-final with the game set to be played out at Yanco Sportsground. The victor will take on Yanco who have advanced straight through to the decider and will have the week off to prepare for their chance to take out the treble with the Twenty20 titles and one-day titles in the bank.
