The Leeton Little Athletics Club hosted its annual carnival on March 3 with 183 participants from 18 clubs in NSW and Victoria travelling to town to take part.
Club member Jodie Ryan said there was a different focus in 2019.
"We made our carnival a little more focused on the tiny tots age group (three ,four and five-year-old ) with having teams of four entered to run in the 25-metre by four relays," she said.
"All tots received a participation ribbon for all events entered. After all, they are the future of our club.

"We also shook things up a bit and encouraged all of the clubs to enter the four by 100-metre relay teams.
"Kids from all ages love relays.
"For the smaller clubs, they joined their kids with others and everyone loved cheering them on."
Traditionally, the Leeton carnival is always well attended by state qualifiers as it is usually held just weeks out from that event.
"The quality of athletes that hit the track and field was exceptional," Ryan said.
Little Athletics wraps up for the season on March 20 and the club's annual general meeting will be held soon after that.
