Member for Murray Austin Evans announced on Monday the hospital was set to receive $2.5 million for a makeover at the facility.
However, that money will only come through if the Coalition government is re-elected to state parliament when voters head to the polls on March 23.
However, it won't be dependent on Mr Evans' re-election.
"Even if I'm not re-elected, but the Coalition is still in government, the money is there and it's approved for this upgrade," Mr Evans said.
"So no, it's not dependent on me personally getting elected."

The money, should it come through, has already been approved by the government for use.
It will be used to upgrade and expand the emergency department, maternity, pharmacy space, ambulatory care and ward refurbishments.
“Regional hospitals are at the heart of local communities, and that’s why continued investment is just so important," Mr Evans said.
"Under my watch, the Leeton community will get the full health services and facilities they deserve.
“I have a proven record of delivering health promises here in the Murray electorate, but there’s more to do and this is where my focus will be.”
Mr Evans believes by upgrading the hospital, it will also help in the town's bid to attract more doctors to the shire.
Leeton Shire Council mayor Paul Maytom met with Mr Evans on Monday afternoon to discuss the announcement.
The mayor was reserved in his comments surrounding the timing of the funding, but said it was "good news" for the shire.
"I think it is great news and we have to take it at face value," councillor Maytom said.
"Anything that can help our hospital is good news.
"It certainly needs a lot of work done to it and that's what we want to see happen."
