The 39--year-old driver was stopped by police in Jarrah Street on Tuesday about 1.25pm where she tested negative to a random breath test, but positive to an oral drug test, which allegedly showed the presence of methamphetamine (ice).
She was arrested and taken for a secondary test which also showed a positive indication of the drug.
The sample has now been sent away for testing before any charges can be laid.
Police call for public's help
OFFICERS are investigating after a home in Yarran Street was broken into on Saturday between 5am and 11.30am.
Thieves allegedly ransacked the home, going from room-to-room and stealing items such as cash, phones, laptops and headphones.
Police have called for any community members who may have information to contact them at the Leeton station or through Crime Stoppers.
Bizarre incident with dog
A MAN wearing a grey hooded jumper was allegedly seen by residents kicking and abusing a dog in Montana Place in Leeton over the weekend.
Police were called about 3.50pm on Saturday after witnesses reported the man kicking the dog and yelling at it "you attacked my son".
The dog was able to run away, but no further description of the offender was able to be given to police.
Officers attended the Leeton District Hospital to find out if there had been a child admitted or treated for a dog bite, but was told there hadn't been such a case.
