OUR pennant side travelled to Griffith last Tuesday to play the Exies on their home turf.
It was a testing day all round, firstly a traffic delay-hence arriving a little later than desired; the weather a little on the cold side; plus having to adjust their play to synthetic greens.
Despite their best effort the Exies had a comfortable win in both teams.
There are few ladies playing of a Wednesday due to pennants, however those playing had a fun packed morning of bowling.
Winners were Shirley Middleton, Joan Dale and Ann Chant.
Coila Murray had the only resting toucher.
It could not have asked for a nicer day to play our final pennant game for 2019.
Playing against Griffith Exies the aggregate score was pretty close until Soldiers ladies picked up a combined nine shots three quarters of the way through the game, thus giving them the momentum to go on and record an easy win.
The game was played in great spirit with we the spectators enjoying the challenges thrown up by all four teams.
A final result is still to be determined.
