The Leeton side were at home to the Aggies and picked up a 44-17 win.

However, it wasn't as easy as the scoreline might suggest.

Ag College were short on numbers, so a decision was made to revert back to a sevens match instead of a 10s to accommodate the travelling team.

Dianas coach Stuart Stout said his side did find it hard to settle and find a rhythm after having to go back to the sevens format.

The 10s format is new to season 2019.

"Obviously because we were playing sevens, we did have to change our game plan around," Stout said.

"In saying that, I did think we handled it pretty well.

"It was tough in the forward, but I thought our ball handling and control was better than the week before.

"We had issues with consistency ... we struggled to find it.

"Obviously we ended up with several reserves, so rotating players around we couldn't really find our rhythm."

The victory was the second for the Dianas after they came out on top in their round one encounter against the Griffith Blacks.

The Dianas, like most codes this weekend, will have a break for Easter, but Stout said his side would continue training this week.

With several new players in the side in 2019, he said it was crucial the side continued to train, find their combinations and continue the good work.

"There's a couple of things like our fitness we'll work on," Stout said.

"I think if you're having a week off this early, you still need to keep the training up.

"You don't want to be falling behind."

Several players also made their debut for the Dianas on the weekend, including Kelly Corney and Emily Glennie.

Stout was pleased with their performance, as well as co-captains Talise Rudd and Felicity Allen.

"They are doing a great job of leading the team around the field ... they communicate very well with each other," he said.

The Dianas next match will be on April 27 against Albury at Leeton's No. 1 Oval.
