Wagga are one spot above Leeton on the ladder in second place.
However, neither side, along with top-placed Lake Albert, have yet to lose a match this season.
At the end of round three on Sunday afternoon, that will no longer be the case for either Leeton or Wagga. United coach Frank Alampi was confident his players could get the job done.
"It's definitely going to be tough ... Wagga are probably one of the favourites to win the competition this year," he said.
"They've recruited pretty well I think."

The match will be played on Leeton's home turf, but the side may be without several players.
However, they doesn't phase Alampi too much.
"We were down a few as well in our last game against Coota and we had a couple of young players stand up and they played well," he said.
"They have been given the chance to prove themselves.
"I think the key to winning this weekend will be keeping our intensity high and making sure we're clinical when it comes to our passing and finishing in front of goal."
Alampi had planned to give his side a rest from training over the Easter break, but the players wanted to continue with the sessions.
"I wasn't going to stop them from doing that ... it was great they wanted to keep training," he said.
