The David Kennedy-trained mare smashed the track record on the way to a dazzling display in the traditional Anzac Day feature.
Leaving rivals to eat her dust at the 400 metre mark, the $2.60 equal favourite defied a late betting drift to win by 27.4 metres.
Kennedy couldn't have been more impressed.
"She's taken a step up as she struggled a little bit in this grade at Junee Cup time," Kennedy said.
"She has definitely improved off that run here.
"That is a pretty good time."
Jive Dancing set a new record for the 2210 metres with a mile rate of 1:56.5.
It was 1.4 seconds faster than Sokys Bigbullet's time set to win the cup two years ago.
Coming into the race after a running second in both a heat and final of a Menangle Country Series, Jive Dancing was afforded the perfect trip by Blake Jones.
Sitting just off a strong tempo, Jive Dancing then set alight approaching the final turn.
She was well clear entering the home straight and was really in a race for her own to the finish.
Ned Pepper ($2.60) just edged out Brobenah Boy ($6) with fourth placed runner About The Attitude ($8) almost a further 20 metres behind.
Kennedy wasn't sure what tactics would best suit coming in, but in the end it probably didn't matter.
"I wasn't too sure if we should have led or not, but the way she went she probably would have led and won anyway," he said.
"She has been going pretty good.
"With the bit of extra distance I wasn't sure how we were going to go there after being over the mile all the time, but she's been working good, racing good and I'm pretty happy."
The Euroley trainer is hoping it will be the start of a Riverina Cup double with Shes Sporty set to line up in the West Wyalong Pacers Cup on Sunday.
Off their work at home it makes him more confident.
"I think the other mare (Shes Sporty) is better than her (Jive Dancing) so hopefully she goes as good in the West Wyalong Cup on Sunday," he said.
The mare won her heat on Saturday and has come up with gate three in the $18,870 final.
Shes Sporty was the slowest of the two heats winners but Kennedy expects the draw can help her after Art Series drew five.
"She is a good mare but it hasn't got much gate speed so with a bit of luck hopefully we can dictate a bit from in front," he said.
