The Whitton commemorations traditionally always round out the shire's services each year and 2019 was no different.
School students from Whitton-Murrami Public School, community members, veterans and their descendants participated in the march, which stopped at the town's memorial gates where a short service was held to remember the fallen.
The area has recently been upgraded thanks to state government funding. Guest speaker Colonel John Brennan addressed the crowd, recognising why Anzac Day continues to be an important part of the Australian and New Zealand calendar each year.

Wreaths were laid, the Last Post sounded and a minute silence held before the crowd moved on the town's hall where the reading of the fallen was conducted.
The hall was also lined with artwork from school students depicting Anzac Day and what it means to them.
An afternoon tea rounded out the commemorations as the community used the occasion to catch up and reflect.
