A CLASSIC event for vehicles of all colours, shapes and sizes even had a competitive edge to it in Leeton recently.
The MIA Cruisers motoring classic, which included a show and shine was held on Easter Saturday, with dozens of vehicles and their owners taking part.
Warm temperatures and blue skies provided the perfect backdrop for the event, meaning plenty of residents took the opportunity to head outdoors and embrace their inner revhead.
MIA Cruisers member John Napier said there was a multitude of cars. bikes, utes and even a truck taking part on the day.
"It was great to see our first time event so well supported with what seemed like a plethora of vehicles, with close to 140 paying to enter the competition," he said.
"The people of Griffith were amazing with their support and we even had entrants from Melbourne and Canberra.
"With no counter on the gate it was hard to say how many of the general public came through, but if I had to guess I'd say everyone.
"All of us at the MIA Cruisers were pleased in how well the folk of Leeton came out in droves to support us, thanks Leeton."
As well as the attraction of the vehicles, there was also something for young and old to appreciate thanks to a jumping castle, coffee to get that early-morning kick-start and stalls for those with spare cash to burn.
There were also many trophies handed out on the day to the winners of the show and shine.
Twenty-six trophies were given out on the day in categories such as best sedan, best coupe, best ute, best bike, best modified and/or hot rod and more.
The best represented club on the day went to the Expatriates Auto Club from Griffith which had 18 entries on the day.
The best in show honour went to Lyle Gilchrist with his 1966 Mustang coupe.
"Following feedback from other clubs and spectators, we all felt everyone had a great day as there was heaps to do," Mr Napier said.
