Before the match coach Seru Rogo had stressed how important it was for the side to win every home game from here on out.
After their round three loss to Wagga Ag College, the Phantoms responded on Saturday with a 40-19 victory at No. 1 Oval.
While the home side would have liked to have a tighter defence performance, they were on song in scooping up the vital points.
The Phantoms picked up a fourth-minute try to Peceli Ratuibau, in reply to the Steamers who scored in the first minute of the game.
From there the Phantoms took control of the first half, running in four more majors.
The scoring wasn't as fast in the second half as the Phantoms ground out the victory.
This weekend they will play Wagga Waratahs again at No. 1 Oval.
