The Campaigners for Regional Equality, which was set up by a trio of Leeton shire residents, met with independent candidate for Farrer Kevin Mack on Saturday.
As a result of the three-hour meeting, Mr Mack has agreed to attend a public community question and answer session to be held this Thursday.
As well as the hospital and doctor shortage issues being on the agenda, Mr Mack will also address ongoing water concerns, education and youth assistance.
"We accepted this as an opportunity to let the community judge and requested an open public Q&A during his busy schedule," group founding member Robert Quodling said.
