Leeton is one of five rural communities shortlisted to receive up to $1 million as part of the Investing in Rural Communities program, which is an initiative of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal and the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation.
The organisation was in Leeton on Thursday and Friday to meet with stakeholders, community groups and others as part of two workshops.

One of those in attendance was Leeton shire resident Sue Gavel.
"There was much excitement at the meeting and we are very keen to have a crack at this funding," she said.
"Following the meeting we have formed a taskforce to take it to the next step."
If successful, the money would give not-for-profit community groups in Leeton access to grants, skills, knowledge-sharing and resources to strengthen capacity and capability.
The group met on Monday afternoon to determine their next step forward.
