L&D: World champion and Commonwealth Games gold medallist, Karen Murphy, took to the L&D greens last Thursday to run coaching clinics. Fifteen players from Griffith and Coleambally attended the morning session, with another 13 from L&D attending in the afternoon. All players gained valuable knowledge both in strategy and techniques of lawn bowls.

Social bowls was held in the morning and Joan Lloyd, Denise Naylor and Dian Colyer were the drawn winners. Patti Wakeman scored a resting toucher and Dian Colyer won the lucky draw.
LSC: It was a beautiful day for bowls resulting in plenty of laughter, banter, and concentration last Wednesday. Winners: Coila Murray, Val Bloem and Ann Chant. Runners up: Margaret McKenzie, Jan Munro and Lee Noble.
Club members were saddened to learn about the death of Edna Rice's daughter, Glenda, who had been battling poor health for a couple of years. To Edna and her family we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
Drawn Fours tomorrow with trial ends at 9am: Munro, Middleton, Noble and Chant will play Harrison, Bloem, Cox and Howard. Stiller's team has a bye.
