From a very young age Mrs Cooper knew she was destined to take her place in the hospital wards.
"It's in the family line, so it was bound to happen," Mrs Cooper said.
She's the third generation of nurses in her family, and she'll be carrying on the torch from her mother and grandmother who both worked as nurses in and around the Taree area.
Mrs Cooper has inherited their burning passion for nursing since she was a small child, and those flames have never died down.
"Mum was always saying she loved her job - that's where my passion came from," she said.
"It's in the family, so I guess we're all born for it."
She studied nursing in Bundaberg Queensland before going on to work with her mum in Taree, where they were an unstoppable duo.
But now she's left the nest to forge her own path at Leeton District Hospital, and so far she says she's loving it here.
Her family might be all the way in Taree, but she's already got a new family right here in Leeton.
"All the other nurses have been so helpful and amazing," she said.
"If I need anything they'd be right there helping me," she said.
She's determined to continue working as Leeton District Hospital and continue learning and growing, with the goal of getting her Registered Nurse licence.
"Hopefully I'll be here for a long time," she said.
