The young side is yet to pick up any points so far this season and are looking to bounce back from a 46-point loss to Mangoplah before the representative bye last weekend.
Despite what has been a tough start to the season for the 2017 premiers, coach Daniel Muir feels his players are in good spirits.
"It is a pretty young group of boys, but I think the spirit levels are good among the group," he said.
"It's up to me and the older boys to make sure that the boys stay with it.
"The kids like to see results and pick up wins, and it can be hard to keep their heads up at times, but that is what the job is about."
The task of finding the first four points of the season doesn't get any easier for the Crows as they prepare to take on a Turvey Park side who have proved they will be tough to deal with.
They have only picked up one win this season but have been able to be a tricky opposition in their other games and will be looking to bounce back from a 15-point defeat at the hands of undefeated Coolamon.
"Each year and game they have been improving and looked to have recruited pretty well," he said.
"They were able to push Griffith right until the end a couple of weeks ago and from all reports are playing really good team footy.
"We will have to be switch on from the start if we want to take the win."
The representative bye last weekend has given the Crows the extra week to prepare for the clash with the Bulldogs and Muir feels it has come at the right time.
"We have quite a big injury list heading into the break," he said.
"For us, the bye was a good chance to get a bit of rest into some of the boys who were carrying little niggles. We spent the week making sure that we could execute our game plan properly.
"We had a couple of injuries return before the bye, and hopefully we might have a couple more back this weekend depending on how they pull up after training."
It won't get any easier for the Crows with a match against local rivals Griffith over at Exies Oval to follow next weekend.
The action at the Showgrounds will get underway at 10.20am when the under 17.5s look to pick up their second win of the season.
The reserve grade will go in search of their first points of the season with first bounce slated for 12pm with the first graders to take the field at 2.10pm on Saturday afternoon.
