For Hawks coach Andrew Smith it will be a chance to test where his side stands after the first seven rounds of the season.
"It is going to be a tough one this weekend," he said.
"They are probably one of the benchmark teams of the competition alongside Waratahs with the strength they have in the middle.
"Taking them on their home deck will be a good chance to see where we are at."
The Hawks have started the season strongly after losing their first game of the season to the Waratahs they have gone on a five-game unbeaten run.
"We are stoked about how the season has started," he said.
"It has been a great team effort, and we have just been chipping away."
The Yanco side has been down on troops in recent weeks, but Smith is hopeful they are about to turn a corner.
"We should get a lot back this weekend," he said.
"No one picked up any knocks from the game against Yenda so will be unchanged with a couple potentially coming back into the side.
"It would be a great time for the boys to come back into the side."
Smith believes that it will be a battle between the big men on Sunday, which will be the deciding factor.
"We just have to match them in the middle if we want to have success," he said.
"If we are able to control the big boys, we should be able to create chances out wide and have success from there."
The Mallee Men will be coming into the game with confidence behind them. After falling to Leeton three weeks ago, the West Wyalong side has rebounded with wins over Waratahs and Darlington Point Coleambally to be sitting level on points with the Waratahs at the top of the table.
It will be a rare event with a full day's action out at Ron Crowe Oval on Sunday with all five grades in action.
The under 16s will kick the day off at 10am while first grade will take to the field at around 3pm.
