The Phantoms know the importance of picking up a win this weekend when they return to the field at Leeton No 1 Oval to take on CSU Reddies on Saturday afternoon.
The Leeton side has only picked up two wins so far this season with their last coming against Albury in round three having started the season with a win over the Griffith Blacks.
Coach Seru Rogo knows things need to change.
"We haven't had a good couple of weeks," he said.
"The boys have been training well over the last week, and we will look to get another good run in before Saturday.
"Our fitness has been letting us down, so that has been our focus at training over the last couple of weeks.
"Hopefully we can get the third win of the season."
The Phantoms have been struggling with numbers over the past couple of weeks, and that struggle is set to continue after former coach Marika Vunibaka was suspended for three weeks.
Vunibaka was red carded in the loss to Ag College before the general bye for dissent.
He was found guilty of the charge.
Vunibaka will miss clashes with CSU, Griffith and Albury as the Phantoms look to reinvigorate their season.
Rogo said Vunibaka was only playing to help out, and the lack of numbers could force the Leeton coach to take a drastic step.
"Marika shouldn't have been playing against the younger boys," he said.
"He had come to help us out because we have been struggling in terms of numbers.
"At this rate, I might have to put the boots on. I don't want to, but I'll do it to help out the club."
It is an important game for the Phantoms, and that fact isn't lost of the coach as they currently sit seventh on the ladder, seven points behind fourth-placed Tumut.
"We had a vision at the start of the season, and that was to go deep into finals," he said.
"Yesterday (Tuesday) we spoke about getting the win otherwise we can forget about making the finals. We are desperate to get the points this weekend.
"Our crowd has been really good for us, and we are going to go out there and give them something to cheer about."
The action will get underway at 3.20pm on Saturday.
