L&D: The first training session held before play last week was successful with many players learning new skills. This was followed by a social game and the drawn winners were Judy Heness, Jean Leighton and Denise Naylor. Dian Colyer won the lucky draw.
The club's championships begin this Thursday starting with the fours. In the first round, Joan Lloyd's team play Hilary Chambers. While Lorraine Mullins, Denise Naylor and, Helen Symes teams all have a bye.
Roll up is set for 9.40am and play will commence at 10am. Names are now being taken for our President's Day, to be held on the July 23.
LSC: Last Wednesday saw the Dawn Triples get underway with the team of Jan Munro, Barbara Gullotta and Berry Howard playing Colleen Harrison, Val Bloem and Laurel Cox. The final score did not represent the standard of play, with heads pretty tight throughout the match, however, in the end, it was Laurel Cox's team that came out on top.
Daily competition winner was L.Cox's team and the runners-up were Coila Murray, Joan Dale and Lee Noble.
The final of the Dawn Triples will be played tomorrow with L.Cox's team taking on Jean Plant, Joan Dale and Lee Noble.
Trial ends start at 9.40am with social play beginning from 10am.
