The school currently caters for 49 students across K-6 with 14 students enrolled in a Little learners program.
Yanco Public School currently employs two full-time classroom teachers and a teaching principal.
Independent and small group learning is offered two days per week outside of the classroom setting and a school learning support officer is timetabled to work with students in all classrooms.
Students enjoy participation in lunch time dance group activities, a weekly Kitchen Garden Program and STEM activities. Teachers specialise in dance, gymnastics, robotics, science/technology and life skills.
The school strives to nurture creativity, resilience and respect, and students are supported by a school chaplain.
The kindergarten transition program will commence on Friday, August 30 and conclude on Friday, November 15. Students will participate in eight sessions of Friday afternoons in the K-1 classroom followed by two full days in the K-1 classroom.
The Little Learners program caters for three-to-five year-old children. A classroom teacher and school learning support officer organise activities that ensure children are equipped to achieve kindergarten learning outcomes. Little Learners takes place each Friday morning from 9.30am to noon and children can join in any time throughout the year after their third birthday.
Little Learners are regularly involved with the K-6 students for events such as the Easter hat parade, Footy Colours Day and Book Week dress up day.
