On June 7 students from Wamoon Public School, Yanco Public School, Matong Public School and Boree Creek Public School went head-to-head in rounds one and two of the NSWPSSA Small Schools soccer competition.
All schools were entered into division two, which pits similar-sized schools - those with around 30 to 60 students - against each other in a knockout-style competition.

Wamoon Public principal Matt Collins said the inaugural gala day was attended by over 70 students and watched by many parents.
"All games were extremely competitive with several close matches," he said.
"Teams consisted of boys and girls from years three to six, with varying experiences of playing soccer.
"It was fantastic to witness players develop their skills across the day in a supportive environment."
Wamoon Public were the winners of the gala day, recording three wins.
They now progress to round three of the competition.
