The side's coach Stuart Stout said the Dianas did let the game get away from them early before they had a chance to settle, but from there, their intensity improved.
"A couple of our new players really stood up, which was very pleasing to see," Stout said.
"We definitely had some chances to score, but the Blacks were very good and we able to stop us in that fourth or fifth phase.

"When they (the Blacks) were scoring, it was out wide.
"Things like our fitness and just the direction were what let us down. I thought the girls still played well despite what the scoreline suggests."
This weekend the Dianas will travel to Albury to take on the Steamers, a side which defeated them in round three.
A win is critical if Leeton is to stay in reach of making the finals.
"We're the only team Albury has beaten all year ... that game was our worst of the season," Stout said.
"This game will be all about going in with the right mental attitude and knowing we can win.
"It's going to be tough to make the finals, but it's not out of the question, which the girls know."
