The Riverina's new Anglican Bishop, Donald Kirk, will be heading to the church on Sunday as part of the feast of St Peter celebrations.
It will be the first time the newly-installed Bishop has visited the church in his new role, with Leeton's Father Robert Murphy pleased he was able to attend on such a special occasion.
"It's the first official visit of the 11th Bishop of the Riverina," Fr Robert said.
"He's also the first Bishop to actually reside in Griffith.
"Previously they have lived in Narrandera and before that in Hay."

Bishop Kirk has worked across the state, but came to the Riverina after being elected as Bishop during a special session of synod in Griffith in February.
His last position was in the Diocese of Ballarat.
Bishop Kirk said he never expected to become a bishop, but decided he would allow himself to be nominated after a fellow clergyman implored him to do so.
"I've been ordained as a priest for 33 years and have always enjoyed ministry and all of the joys and challenges, and my hope is that I will enjoy ministry as a Bishop in the same way," he said.
When asked what his plans are for the region, Bishop Kirk said he expects to be doing a lot of driving between his new parishes.
The event on Sunday to mark the Feast of St Peter will include a mass at 9.30am followed by morning tea and the chance for the Bishop to get to know the Leeton parishioners.
"The parish here do know about St Peter's Day ... it's one of the high days in the church calendar," Fr Robert said.
