A prominent Leeton family has used their success to help others by donating $100,000 to the building of a new hospital in Griffith. Peter Woods and his family have pledged the generous amount to assist St Vincent's Health Australia in building the private community hospital.

Just 12 months after the first public meeting to determine interest in a Men's Shed in Leeton, the facility has been completed, fitted out and is now ready for work.

After 20 years of caring for the elderly residents of Assumption Villa, supervisor Lorraine Grantham retired last week. Sandra Troy is the Villa's new resident care manager and Joanne Parsons is administration manager.
GREENS DEFEAT LIZARDS BY HALF
Further doubt surrounds the future of Narrandera in Group 20 after their first grade side conceded to Leeton at half-time. In the most lop-sided contest since Leeton hammered Narrandera 102-10 in round one, the Greens led 66-0 when match and team officials stepped in to avoid the inevitable whitewash on Sunday.
