While Cootamundra are languishing at the bottom of the Football Wagga ladder, United had been expecting a contest from the Strikers.
However, the visitors were forced to forfeit reserve grade and their Pascoe Cup was missing several of their usual players through injury and suspension.
Leeton United coach Frank Alampi was impressed with his team's effort.
"They probably could have even kicked a couple more goals if I'm honest ... our boys did play very well," he said.

"Yes, they weren't playing against Coota's full side, but you can only play the team that turns up on the day.
"It definitely wasn't their first grade side, but what can you do.
"In these types of games you can easily take the foot off the pedal, but I don't think we did that."
The goals were shared among the Leeton side as they ran riot throughout the afternoon.
Alampi had been calling for his players to improve their attacking and they certainly did respond.
They will need to keep that form going this weekend when they head back to Wagga to take on the fourth-placed Henwood Park, who are on spot ahead of them on the Pascoe Cup ladder.
